This award winning book written by the author Joan Silber arrived in yesterday’s post. I gave it a quick skim and remarked to my husband that it didn’t look that inviting. I said I would give it a try...
I simply could not put it down !
I have never experienced such a wonderful writing style ... sublime!!!
It was simple in a way that only a craftsperson could deliver. I was totally emersed in its story, I felt I was there, that I was ‘in the room’ so to speak.
The author has managed to capture the consequences that decisions made can make with such a fineness I am awed.
This book was a pleasure to read, I cannot praise the writer or the book highly enough. Certainly a worthy winner of all the awards !
