I really struggled with this one, and it's a book I picked up and put down and left on one side for a while several times before I actually finished it (I'm more a 'lap up in one sitting' kind of girl when I'm really absorbed by a book)
On Paper (excuse the pun) this should be a book I love, but I found it really hard to feel engaged with the characters, and the style of writing (which is one used to great effect in other books) just really didn't work in this instance for me.
I'm not sure why I feel like this about the book - I can't quite put my finger on why it didn't work for me but it was a real slog to get through, rather than pleasure, as reading usually is for me.
Wish I could be more positive....ummmm.....the cover is beautiful!!!
