Firstly, I'm not much of a fan of these style of covers. They don't grab my attention and if I was looking at it in a shop my gaze would probably pass right over it.
As for the story itself, as much as I loved the TV series Home Fires, this book unfortunately couldn't draw me in. It felt like a lot of information in a small amount of pages and I lost interest.
Maybe it picks up more later in the book but I won't be picking it up.
