I couldn’t believe it when they cancelled Home Fires, leaving the series on a cliffhanger, so this book is a god sent. From the preview it seems wonderfully in character and great way for the story to live. I would to love to follow the beloved characters as they continue their journey, or perhaps not!!
It’s a shame the book cover doesn’t have images of the characters as played back the actors, as it does look like a genereric history.
However! We shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, and the preview certainly lives up to the series.
It would be delightful to re enter this enthralling and complex world, focused on my favourite time period.
