Whilst I wouldn't be drawn to this cover in a shop the synopsis sounds really good! I am intrigued by the idea of gene editing technology. In the sample chapters this isn't introduced, but we do learn about Harry and briefly Charlie who are going to be the main characters.
The book starts with the introduction of Deion, who is by his locker in school when an explosion happens. Was this planned to injure him or a case of wrong place at the wrong time?
Harry has recently moved to Las Vegas with his aunt. He has taken photographs and video footage following the explosion including sneaking back in to the school to record this. Footage included Deion's injuries and it seems Harry may earn quite a bit of money from this. He is a keen photojournalist as this is the profession his mother had before she died when he was only 7 years old.
I am keen to learn more about Harry and what he can uncover about Charlie Croker, who Harry and his friend Matt believe is behind the explosion at their school!
