I was very excited for this book as my favourite genre is any kind of dystopian storyline! And reading a book containing a killer virus during a pandemic! The book follows Harry and Charlie over a number of years, and I enjoyed their dynamic at the start, with an unlikely friendship of Harry helping out Charlie and making sure to keep their friendship going when she falls on hard times.
However, I was a little let down, just with the storyline... I found myself bored and trying to rush through the pages which is never good!
I liked the relationship between Charlie and her brother but any relationships beyond this didn't work for me... I think I just expected the storyline to be a little bit more interesting. I didn't feel that engaged with the characters, meaning I didn't feel emotion when dangerous/ exciting things were happening to them.
