I can't begin to explain just how much I adored this book! In my review of the extract, I stated that I felt this was going to be an incredible book and I was definitely not disappointed!
What I most enjoyed about this book is that you get to see an entire era of these two very lovable characters in a world where everything seems to be falling apart around them. We, as readers, experience about 15 years of Harry and Charlie's life in which we see not only them grow and mature through tough situations and decisions but also there relationship.
The emotional side of things felt real and raw. It wasn't all a 'glass half full' approach but it wasn't all a 'glass half empty' approach either. This book perfectly demonstrated a realistic depiction of what it means to be alive.
