Muchamore does it again! Strong characters, riveting plot, little touches that make the characters feel real. I loved it! It’s not a fast-paced kind of book but it was gripping and I still only took one day to read it. Muchamore has a very distinctive style which is easy to settle into. I loved how the new technology wasn’t so out there that it felt like it was set in a completely different world. It really felt like this could be us in 10 years. Muchamore has a real knack for creating characters that feel real and that you can relate to, and he does that again here with Harry and Charlie. They face real dilemmas and the twists and turns the plot takes were definitely interesting. My one critique is that there weren’t enough moments, for me, where I thought they’d made a wrong decision and would have to dig themselves out. It almost felt a bit too easy. Great ending though and all round another corker of a book.
