Okay, but wasn't as invested as I'd hoped

Killer T is a really-beautifully designed book. I loved the cover, the endpages, all the small little designs. However, the book itself just didn't go as I hoped. I do think the fact that I was stuck in a book slump is partly to blame, but I could never really get invested in Killer T.

From an alternate standpoint, the idea behind the book is a really good one and I'm sure loads of people will be into it. Viruses are always a really fascinating topic. Similarly, the setting of Las Vegas was great and fitted the novel really well.

What I just couldn't get into was the pacing. I found the novel too slow for my taste, and as a result, I could never really get into the book. I might give Killer T another go later on, but for now, it's just a 3 star read for me.
