It is the story of Zoe, how she manages to escape from a violent and abusive marriage. Zoe married Daniel, thinking that he is Mr. Perfect. Soon after their marriage, Zoe realises that Daniel isn't man that she thought him to be.
The book was a fast-pace thriller that truly did keep me on my toes. Many points during the book, I thought to myself; "Wow, I really didn't expect that!". It surprised me in a good way.
Sometimes I did feel that certain characters were not developed very well with little to no background information. Occasionally, this made it hard for me to follow what was going on. The main character Zoe was developed very well, and you get to really feel the journey that she set herself onto.
Overall, this book is a good read for those who love mystery/thrillers.
