The story centres around Zoe who is in an abusive relationship that revolves around control and manipulation with a man named Dan. Zoe attempts to escape however her efforts run short until Dan’s plan is unveiled.
It was a good read however somewhat predictable it didn’t have me on the edge of my seat dying to read what comes next as I already foresaw most of the plot.
The characters are well rooted though and interesting.
It is not a book I would definitely recommend however it’s not one I would say I wouldn’t bother reading either. It is somewhere in between. The storyline is close to my heart but I just felt the book lacked abit of mystery and originality. I did like the cover though and would consider reading more from the author.
