The name of C. J. Carver always gives good cause for a good read, but I wouldn't put her books in the same field as those of Lee Child. They both provide fabulous reads and will always keep us guessing until the end. Carver is perhaps less formulaic than Child. I think that this about the third one featuring Dan Forester, her hero already badly damaged by the death of his son, is brought back to life with further family tragedies. The experiences of his former life as a M.I.5 officer comes in useful as dreadful secrets, in the deep and dark past, are revealed, undoubtedly there will be an exciting end and I will be looking forward to reading it fully
