After reading the first 30 pages and writing my first look review I was looking forward to reading this, but it dissappointed me somewhat as it seemed to
diverge away from its well paced start and I felt overall it rather 'dragged it's feet'and lacked suspense.

It started out as an intriguing murder mystery but it got rather bogged down with the characters descriptions of past childhood experiences and their various continuing family problems. It then moved right away into the investigation of another murder which ,rather tenuously, eventually links the characters together and reveals some dodgy experimental research.

I stuck with it to the end if only to see where it was eventually going and how it would lead back to the original murders at the start of the book but overall I'm sorry to say it was not a satisfying read for me.
