This is the first CJ Carver book that I have read, and I am so glad I did. The front cover is very relevant to the main death within the book, the causes a dramatic chain of events. There are many different important characters throughout the story, which can get a little distracting and confusing at times. However the further into the story you go the clearer the characters become. The main crime plot is dotted with romantic moments which helps to make the story more plausible and helps the reader to relate to some of the more standoffish characters. The story kept me gripped throughout and I read it in one sitting. Despite not having much science knowledge I was able to understand the significance if I can't science aspects which is appreciated.
