Explosive action thriller set across Scotland and Germany.
This book does not have much of a preamble and gets straight to the action largely due to it being one of a series of books to feature the hero Dan Forrester and his associates. That said the fact that I have not read any of the preceding books did not detract from my enjoyment of a gripping and exciting tale that starts with a single murder before the body count swiftly rises.
It is well written and researched and delves into the realm of genetic modification with mention of a Project Snowbank that seems to relate to at least one of the deaths that Dan is investigating. Dan also has to cope with the death of his father and the imminent birth of his son while trying to help an old family friend whose son has been murdered. This brings back many of his childhood memories that he thought he had lost and adds to the plot.
All in all a complex but enjoyable read.
