Well, the author certainly knows how to write a compelling opening chapter! I found the detail credible and the situation scarily realistic, especially given the tensions in the world today. The next chapter had a different atmosphere altogether with a lot of domestic detail. I'm wondering if I'd find that as compelling. Also it does seem as if it could be heading into typical murder mystery territory. The man who asks too many inconvenient questions...
