This isn't necessarily a book I would normally pick up, but I'm glad I got a glimpse of it - I would happily buy it now. The Cold War is an interesting and crazy aspect of history, and this book really makes you wonder how close we came to a global disaster. Bill's dilemma is something I could never imagine, but Ridpath puts you in his shoes well . The book's cover stands out and captures the drama of the first few chapters.
