Michael Ridpath’s Launch Code galloped along at a fast pace making it difficult for me to put down. It’s written in two time periods telling the story of what happened on the nuclear submarine in 1983 during the Cold War and now to Bill and his family in Norfolk. A reporter is investigating the incident on the submarine and when he is stabbed to death, Bill’s daughter is arrested by the police.
It’s extremely well written and keeps you guessing and interested by releasing the important parts of the story to the son in law.
I’m not usually a fan of this genre but would recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a tightly plotted ingenious mystery thriller.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.
