I'm not 100% sure on my feelings for this book.
It is very well written, flows nice and easily, and I understand the idea behind it and what the story line is. I just found that it wasn't as exciting as I first thought. I think I was expecting a lot of action where as this was quite slow paced. I can honestly say that it is not a bad book.
I am massively on the fence about whether I want to read the next in the trilogy. On one hand I am worried that it will follow the same pace, yet on the other I feel as if the next one will be more exciting and have a bit more action now that the base of the characters has been set. Part of me has been drawn in to the extent of wanting to know what happens. Will he make it back to the throne? Will everyone he believes her should trust stab him in the back? I think I'll just have to read on and see if it changes my feelings.
