I absolutely loved this book!

When I first saw it, I didn’t expect this novel to have a lot of depth to it, perhaps because of the ‘cute’ cover art. This is where it surprised me.

I really identify with the character of Loveday, not least because of my penchant for meaningful (if slightly obscure) tattoos.

It’s obvious from the start that Loveday’s relationship with books is formed on escapism. This will have been familiar to any book lover at some point, or, like me, several points.

A lovely message in this novel, however, is that one can also find themselves in books, or at least, elements of themselves they didn’t know existed before.

When we start the novel, Loveday is most definitely hiding behind books a little too much, and it’s intriguing to find out why someone from her past upsets her equilibrium so much.

Just a note more than a criticism - this book includes that particular brand of cheese reserved only for the romance novel - but not too much. 5 stars.
