I wanted to give up on this book at the beginning because I'm not used to books with such a detached protagonist. But I understand that is part of who Loveday is and that it represents her and her emotional availability. Even though I found it hard to relate to her, , I grew to absolutely love it. Loveday didn't exactly give the reader the opportunity to like her or get to know her but she slowly opened up. I absolutely loved the plot and the background information was so in detail and was a great addition. I want to know even more about Loveday and I really want to know what happened to her after the end of the book. Archie was definitely my favourite character and his love for Loveday was so parental.
