"This is why I don't like talking to people. I never think of anything interesting to say. I need time to find words, and that's hard when people are looking at me."

Another book set in the magical York, my favourite place in England. Loveday works in a second hand bookshop and, of course, loves books. She has an appreciation for books that not many people have.
The book starts with Loveday finding a book on the floor, by a bin - has it been thrown away or has someone dropped it by mistake?
She decides to pick it up and take it to the shop with her, putting a note outside the window in case someone is looking for it - someone does look for it and that's when they meet.

The writing style is a bit erratic, you can see the author is trying to tell a story, but it keeps "getting interrupted" by Loveday comments, which sometimes seem irrelevant. Although, I am sure if you read the whole book, those comment will have a relevance and everything will eventually fit together.
One thing I really liked is that there was no real description of the protagonist and I didn't even discover the gender until a few pages in.
I think I will give a go to this book as the preview stops right in the middle of a scene and now I want to know how it carries on!
