Loveday Cardew prefers books to people. She has the favourite lines from her favourite books tattooed on her.

She finds an abandoned poetry book one morning on her way to her work (at a bookstore in York) and posts it in the window hoping to reunite it with its owner.

Nathan finds his book, and persues the attention of Loveday in a gentle, non pressured way. But why is Loveday so cautious? What secret is she hiding? And why are books from her mysterious childhood suddenly turning up at the book store?

This book is truly for bibliophiles: it's like opening a box of decadent chocolates -mouth-wateringly rich & leaves a wonderful after taste.

I truly liked Loveday, Nathan and Archie. I wanted to unwrap Loveday's past and find out what keeps her so guarded and untrusting.

A wonderful, heartfelt story that pulls on your heart strings and leaves you bereft when finishing it. I could have read on after the book finished, I'm still hungry for more.

Thank you to Readers First & Bonnier Zaffre for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for an open and honest review.
