Lost For Words is a story about a young woman called Loveday, who is coming to terms with her past, while working in a bookshop in Yorkshire. She is an interesting character, reserved but with an air of confidence. I also liked that she has an obsession with books! The other characters are likeable/hateable in their own way, and wrote well.

The writing style is mostly easy to read, but I did find a few of the sentences were structured oddly, and didn't flow very well. This didn't detract too much from the book. I found it hard to read the poetry parts as you really have to imagine it spoken out loud. I imagine Nathan's poetry nights to be a little bit like poetry slams. Whether that is what the author imagined I am not sure!

I liked the mystery that was slowly unravelling, although I did think the pace was a little slow in the beginning. The shock near the end really caught me off guard. Overall a nice read!
