Such a lovely book! The main character Loveday works in a second hand bookshop she is a lover of books and has worked in the shop since she was 15, she is quiet, likes routine and is slightly grumpy and tends to shy away from people - the story was well plotted and alternates between the present and past and you discover what has happened to Loveday and how she got to work in the bookshop. The writing is exquisite and some of the sentences are so lovely and descriptive. It is a heartwarming read tinged with sadness and lots of emotion and I did shed a few tears ! If you are a lover of books you might enjoy this. There are some dark moments in the book but there are also some fun elements overall a fantastic read!
