This book. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I wanted to love it. It’s a book about books!! And to an extent. I did love this story. Loveday was quite relatable. And her sad beginning (although you don’t really find this out straightaway) is what makes her likable. However it took too long to get to know her. It almost felt like real life. Only in real life if I put the effort to get to know a person and they don’t reciprocate I tend to cut them off. I hate being the only one who puts the effort in. Anyway. I digress, although she had this trauma. She wore it like a security blanket and just wouldn’t let go. The story goes as expected. She finds someone. That someone breaks down her previously impenetrable walls and she learns to open her heart. Blah blah blah. Typical. It was well written though. And had a satisfying ending. But it fell a little bit flat for me.
