Simply so good. Loved the characters especially Loveday and Archie. Couldn't fault this book. Possibly one of my most favourites over the last couple of years. Its not a happily ever after book. Its honest and that what I love about it. It addresses the very brutal world of domestic abuse and Stephanie Butland addresses this difficult topic so well. It is a really easy read, I could barely put it down and finished most of it in 2 days. It does bounce between different periods of Loveday's life, from her childhood, to adulthood, to present day. I've often found with other novels that jump between different periods of time can be a touch confusing, but Stephanie Butland makes it so easy to follow. I'd happily re-read this book again. Highly recommended.
