Loveday is surviving, she loves her job, loves books and needs no one. Her story is beautifuly told, and, though sad on so many levels, the ending is perfect. Domestic violence is a subject matter rarely spoken about let alone written about yet here is a story that explores, not only its profound affect on the children who live with it but also on its reasons and potential outcomes. As well as its affect on the generations that follow. This story also touches on the warmth in some humans and the lengths some people will go to to project and care for people who aren't even blood relations.
This is not a book I would've normally brought but I am so glad I have read it as I really enjoyed it.
