I've had this book on my shelf for longer than I can remember and I've only just gotten around to reading it. I remember when I first heard about this book, I was all for it, but as I read it, I came to realise it wasn't what I was looking for at the time. Now don't get me wrong, I'm such a sucker for a romance book, but this didn't hit the spot for me, which I thought was a shame because I was excited to finally read it after all these years.
Ten years after their 'pact marriage', where Kate and Paul decided to marry each other if they hadn't found love, they find that it hasn't been all that they seemed. Since they've known each other since they were young, and have been friends since, they thought it would work out, but, as we all know from all of the media we consume, life just never works out the way you think and hope it will.
While this book wasn't all it for me, I still found it enjoyable enough to see it through, it just wasn't what I was expecting.
