A fascinating concept with parallels to the flaws in today's society.

In a world where your wealth also denotes your size and the poorest of the poor are so tiny that you'd struggle to see them.

If you gain wealth you grow, if you lose wealth you shrink.Nice idea.

The story seems to centre on a poor family who have basically been screwed by this system. Their dad was stepped on by a rich kid and killed, and their mum was paralyzed by a cat attack(Just writing that sentence is weird! how did the author think this up),and their attempts to earn enough money to stop being Little-poor and grow to a more reasonable size.

When they have to travel and are reliant on a giants good-will what can they say to someone 20X their size who is carrying them around in a bag powerless?

This first impression has some really good ideas and I'd love to see how the story progresses in this unequal society.
I'd say you can draw a lot of parallels with an older story I'm sure most people are familiar with- The borrowers- and I was worried that this might be a bit of a rip off of that classic, but my fears were unfounded as the world we see where people adjust sizes and everyone is made equal in a "dreamworld" led to a very thought provoking and interesting intial glimpse.

I'd like to see where this story is heading.
