I'm not going to lie, I did really enjoy this book, the concepts are interesting the world is fleshed out, but easy to understand and the dynamics aren't too complicated. I loved following the character of littlepoor Warner in his adventures through the world in the quest to first find his sister a husband, survive jail and get big.

However, I feel that the execution of this ideas and concepts weren't the best they could be. You follow Warner for approximately 4 -5 years if I've added correctly, and sometimes when there's a jump of 2 years there's little to no information of what happened in that intermittent time, it isn't hard to figure out but sometimes when loyalties seem to flip like a coin there needed to be more explanation for the why as most readers won't remember exactly what happened those 234 pages ago.

I also heavily disliked kitty's character and the ending. To me the ending was unsatisfying and feels like he didn't really know how to end it. I heavily disliked kitty's character because although she was doing good she also very much behaved like she knew she was in control and you belonged to her. She seemed manipulative and while that may explain the ending I don't think by that point Warner is that stupid anymore.

I can understand why it's been written like this however, Because Warner isn't educated and doesn't quite understand everything like you or I might.
