The synopsis sounds amazing! I'm not sure how to feel about the sneak peek, but I'm definitely intrigued by this book and would like to read more.
The idea is a good one and if you like the bizarre and fantastical, I imagine it would appeal to you.
The writing style is unusual, but I think that was because it's written from the POV of a child/teenager and I have just come from reading a very serious book telling the true story of a holocaust survivor, so the contrast is glaring. I think I could get used to it after a few chapters.
Definitely want to read more.
