This book was such an interesting look into poverty and wealth due to the clever way that Jesse Andrews expressed his idea in this book. It contains lots of his quite crude humour which for me makes his books really distinctly his. I have also read his book "me, earl and the dying girl" and I also love that book which is also structured in this very distinct way. I think that although "munmun" talks about money in a way that is obviously very different to how it really is, it is a very important book as it shows all sides of the poor, the wealthy, and how generosity can help both of these groups. It also looks into how hard it can be to move up the ladder of wealth, especially without the help of others, even if you are putting in all the hard work. I think Jesse Andrews is a great writer whose name is not as well known as it should be and his books are absolutely amazing!
