In spite of all the reading I do, I have never read a Lynda la Plante novel before- and I didn't want to stop. If I had the full book here right now, I would not get any work done today!
La Plante is a great storyteller, introducing characters and developing them with distinctive traits, I'm loving Gibbs, so they are totally believable.
The only reason that I have given it a four star rating is because I felt that the introduction of backstory, on occasion, tripped up the current story and didn't always feel totally relevant.
I look forward to being able to complete reading this book....
