I do love a good crime book, so I’m surprised I have not come across this author before now.
Murder Mile is a very easy read which is full of plot twists, some parts quite predictable but which keep you guessing who the suspect could be for the murders. The main character Jane Tennison is very likeable, we follow her through her career struggles in a male dominated workplace as she tries to show women can be just as intelligent and powerful. The book is written well, and although I have not read the previous books in this Tennison series I found the book easy to follow and had no problems in understanding the story and following what was going on, so much so that I didn’t realise it was actually the 4th book in the series. This wasn’t my favourite read however, I would still recommend to a friend and I will definitely look out for more books in this series and give them a go.
