I do love a Lynda La Plante book. This is the third Jane Tennison book I've read and loved it. I have to keep reminding myself that it's set in the late 70s and that they didn't have the same forensics as we have now. That said, Jane, Lawrence, Moran, Gibbs and Edwards are dealing with murders in Peckham. A woman's body is found in an alleyway, closely followed by another woman's body in the boot of a car. While investigating both of these and working out if they are linked, another body is found in a homeless hostel. The killer is forensically aware and they don't have any physical evidence at all of the scenes. Once again Jane is like a dog with a bone and alongside Lawrence is able to discover vital clues. A great read.
