I have not heard of this author before and she has written several books and has got them adapted into tv shows which made me think they must be very good to be adapted into a tv show.
Reading the first few chapters it was rather slow and its not very easy to feel invested in the book and had me wanting to put the book down as it had nothing to want me to keep reading on.

Its about Jane Tennison who has been recently promoted to a Detective Sergeant and has gone to Peckham CID, one of London's toughest areas.
I like how the name of the book is incorporated into the book
