Another captivating book by Lynda la plante, one of the few authors that in my opinion never disappoints. The book follows WDS Jane Tennison after her recent promotion to detective sergeant during a murder enquiry with jane at the centre of the team who are allocated the murder to solve. As always jane is signalled out as the only female in the squad but she stands up for herself. Whilst she always seems to end up in trouble through no fault of her own she’s a funny character that I felt an instant connection to when I first began this series. With twists and turns I didn’t see this ending coming. I struggled to put this book down especially with how well Lynda writes every chapter kept me gripped.
