A satisfyingly informative and hugely interesting book.
A satisfyingly informative and hugely interesting book.
I find I don't usually read a lot of non fiction, as the delivery of the text is not always terribly engaging. THIS book is totally different. Yes, it may be about murder, but it's oddly refreshing and a genuine eye-opener of how we've arrived at the place we are today.
This introduction into how our laws have been forged through time, the challenging nuances involved in classifying whether the taking of a life is 'murder' or 'manslaughter', and quenching the public thirst for justice has already made a massive impression on me.
Definitely one to keep an eye open for. Brilliant.
