I love the introduction's opening paragraph; it's visceral and immediately sets the scene, transporting the reader to another time and location. As Kate Morgan says in her introduction, there is something about murder and dark, grizzly tales that has always piqued human interest - what is it about death and murder that has us so intrigued? Is it that, deep down, we all know it's a fundamental part of human nature that may be buried inside us all? I love the writing style of this book. It's gripping, easy to read and impossible to put down. I can't wait to see where the rest of the book takes us.
