I’m finding it hard to tell whether this book appeals based on the extract as it’s just a very comprehensive, and on occasion repetitive, introduction. I suspect the stories it will recount would be interesting but I can’t gauge the book based on what I’ve read so far. It’s clearly well researched and intelligently written though.
