Harnessing the power of crime stories

I just love the title and the premise of this book. The writer presents almost like an anatomy of various crime stories, dissecting them as if they were a doctor in an old victorian theatre. I was really intrigued by the cover, loved its graphic retro feel, and the more I read the more enthusiastic I became about discovering more stories.
