I like how the story begins, describing a simple song and then revealing it to be a popular classic which has had lots of covers done by famous singers, a song that most readers have undoubtedly listened to. Then, it contrasts this light and simple tone when it is revealed that this popular song used to be known as a 'murder ballad' and this is when the more sombre tone sets in.
