The introduction to this book has really drawn me in, I'm so interested to see where Morgan goes with this topic and to learn all she has to offer. The authorial voice is strong, not too condescending while not being too pretentious either. There are also good comparison points to popular culture which drew me in even more - I didn't realise Tom Jones's 'Delilah' had such a dark history!
