As Alfred Hitchcock commented, “I think everyone enjoys a nice murder, provided he is not the victim”. I’ve studied murder and more general criminal law from an academic perspective and, through my love of reading, have attempted to solve hundreds of fictional murders. There’s something strangely fascinating about the whys and wherefores of homicide, and the opening chapter of this book promises an equally fascinating read. Kate Morgan writes in an interesting and amusing way, and it seems that the book will contain plenty of intriguing and peculiar facts. I’m keen to see what cases are covered in the book, how much depth it will go into, and what slant Morgan’s own interpretations of the law will have. The book’s cover is appealing and would definitely catch my eye if I saw it on a bookshelf/table.
