Murder: The Biography is a non-fiction book that describes unique murder cases that have shaped the legal system when concerning murder. It gives a very detailed insight into how the way that criminals are punished by law in the UK. The book consists of 304 pages, each page filled with the most interesting of information. The book is very complex and gives a comprehensive account of the special crimes that have played a role in adjusting the criminal law into what it is today. It was vert interesting to consider the viewpoints that were presented in each case and how the unique circumstances led to the laws that we have today. It was very thought provoking and encouraged me to think of how the UK would look today if different decisions were made during those crimes. The author herself, Kate Morgan had a very likeable writing style that engaged me as a reader. She had a very easy going, story like approach which prevented the book from being misperceived as boring or drone. Overall this was a great read and I am very thankful to Readers First for sending me a copy of this book. If you are the type to watch crime documentaries on Netflix I would definitely recommend this book to you!!
