This is the first ever non-fiction book I have read and I found it fascinating and interesting to read. I enjoyed the order in which the book follows, the creation of murder as a legal term and the path it takes to current day explain. It is interesting to read how it was classified right at the start and how it is classified now in modern times.
The part of the book that I enjoyed the most is that within each chapter there is cases which are identified, explained in details and then shown how they impacted a change in the law surrounding murder. There is a section at the end of the book which includes where the sources came from, a glossary and a index so if you want to read more into the case/crimes there is an option to do so.
I haven’t read a book like this before but now that I have read this one I am interested to see if there are any others out there like this so I can learn/understand more about this topic.
