This book really wasn't what I was expecting on a first look. It definitely isn't a light read. It is more like a text book than a factual version of historic events which I thought it was going to be. I was expecting more information about the victim's and the murderers and why they committed the crimes.
It is very heavy on the facts surrounding the legal side of things. I can very much appreciate all the work and research that has gone into the authors work and can imagine this book being of great interest to law students. It is well written and referenced and I can imagine a good read for the right audience.
Unfortunately I just couldn't get into the book at all but don't want my review to show my personal preferences. I feel it would be a good read for many and the writing is good quality and you can really tell the care and attention the author has made for a subject they are obviously passionate about.
