I love some true crime and have read books similar to this that have been more like regurgitating information about cases that is pretty well known. However, this spoke about a lot of cases that I had not heard of before and how they changed the law surrounding murder and have they've shaped life in general. There are quite a few common sayings, such as `sweet FA' and popular character names such as, Richard Parker that have come from murder cases. I learnt so much from reading this book and found it all so interesting, which is exactly what I want when I read a non-fiction book.
I thought it was well written and was easy to read and understand, without too much technical language, but is there was anything I had not heard of before there was a glossary in the back with all the main words and phrases that were specific to the law. Which was very handy.
