'Murder: The Biography by Kate Morgan is a truly fascinating read. I am not usually one for non-fiction yet I could not stop reading once I started. True crime is a fascinating subject and Kate Morgan does not disappoint. It is also readable for people who may not usually read true crime including myself. Reading about crimes committed throughout history shaped and changed the UK justice/legal system to what we know it to be today was incredible. Many of the cases Morgan talks about were eye-opening and fascinating to read.

Kate Morgan's writing style made the book easy to follow along and keep up with all the facts thrown at you. Morgan uses limited legal terminology making the book more accessible to anyone without major prior knowledge.

However, there are quite a lot of facts, information and stories shared that sometimes I had to take a step back as I struggled to comprehend everything. If a light read what you are after, I would not recommend this book but if an in-depth researched book about crime shaping the British justice system, this is the book for you.
